TaskUp processes personal data to operate a secure local-services marketplace and to meet legal, fraud-prevention and payment obligations.
Data we process
Account details, profile information, task and offer content, messages, approximate or precise location when you provide it, transaction references, support interactions, device/security data and consent records.
Why we use it
To authenticate users, match tasks, operate offers and chat, protect payments, verify Taskers, prevent abuse, provide support, send service notifications, comply with law and improve reliability.
Payments and verification
Stripe processes payment and connected-account verification data under its own privacy terms. TaskUp stores transaction identifiers and status information needed for support, reconciliation, disputes and legal obligations, not full card numbers.
Sharing
We share data only where needed with processors such as hosting, authentication, payment, notification and monitoring providers, with counterparties where required to perform a task, or where law requires it.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, security, disputes, accounting and legal requirements. Financial and audit records may need to be retained even after account deletion, with personal data minimized where possible.
Your GDPR rights
Depending on applicable law, you can access, correct, export, restrict or object to processing and request deletion. The TaskUp settings area provides an export path; deletion requests are handled with required legal-record retention.
Security
TaskUp uses authenticated access, row-level database security, least-privilege server credentials, audit logging and payment tokenization. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Where processors handle data outside the EEA, TaskUp uses appropriate contractual and legal safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
