Terms of Service

These terms govern use of TaskUp, a marketplace that connects clients with independent Taskers.

Marketplace relationship

TaskUp provides marketplace, payment-protection and support tools. Taskers are independent service providers and are responsible for the services they offer, applicable taxes, permits and professional obligations.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, keep your account secure and use TaskUp lawfully. We may restrict accounts for fraud, abuse, unsafe conduct or material breaches of these terms.

Tasks and offers

Clients must describe work accurately. Taskers decide whether to offer and are responsible for the price, ETA and representations in their offer. Contact and work coordination must remain in the protected TaskUp flow once payment is secured.

Payments

When a client accepts an offer, TaskUp uses Stripe to collect the agreed amount. Card data is handled by Stripe. TaskUp keeps the marketplace payment protected until approval, refund or dispute resolution. Fees and taxes are shown before they are charged.

Completion and disputes

Taskers mark work complete. Clients can approve or dispute eligible work. During a dispute, the protected payment remains frozen while TaskUp reviews relevant task history, evidence and messages. TaskUp may release or refund the protected amount according to the dispute policy.

Prohibited use

Do not post illegal, dangerous or deceptive work; harass others; manipulate ratings; evade platform protections; misuse payment systems; scrape private data; or attempt unauthorized access.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, TaskUp is not responsible for indirect losses arising from services performed by independent users.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the service or law changes. Material changes will be communicated through TaskUp. Questions can be sent through TaskUp support.

Effective 29 August 2026. This policy is presented in English while TaskUp localization is expanded.
